Pastor John Jenkins and FBC Glenarden is just Incredible

Few times in my life have I experienced the presence and power of God like I did Sunday at Pastor John's church. It was just incredible. Talk about a church impacting the world and it's community - it's FBC. It's an African American church that has awakenned to God's plan for them engaging the world. I challenged them to address the global issue of slavery - that God had set them free, not just to be free - but to help set others free. More people are in slavery TODAY than ever in the history of humanity. Wouldn't it be just like God to place that church here in the U.S., in Washington D.C. to speak to the ends of the earth about not just American Civil rights but global civil rights. The message resonated. After four packed services with 6 overflow rooms - I was exhausted. But I sense God is calling the African American church to get on her feet and move out into the ends of the earth. Pastor John is one of the most humble men I've ever met in my life - he doesn't fit your typical mega or for them - gigachurch profile. I learned a tremendous amount from him this week. You can visit their web site at www.fbcglenarden.org. I hear they posted the sermon - I think I may have been born the wrong color Baptist preacher - I had a blast. My wife told me when I die, she's going to an African American church! I can't help it baby - I'm white!
