Meetings With Party Chairmen

In the past two days, I've met with Party Chairmen from two of the provinces in the Central Highlands, which automatically makes both of them on the Central Committee. Good visits. I believe they are working hard to establish new parameters for faith to flourish. Some, here, have been reading my blogs--hello guys--and other materials on the Internet which has led to tons of fascinating and fun conversations. Many are talking about their own faith. Interesting, given I'm primarily with government officials.

Just had lunch in which a young emerging leader in the party--who knows what position he might hold one day--he was telling me he wants more meaning in life. I've also had a lot of fun getting their perspectives on world issues and the future of communism--nothing dull about this trip.

Visited with pastor Kiem. WOW! As I'm writing this, the Catholic bell in Pleikoo is ringing. God always has his witness. The guy either has 3,000 or 6,000 in attendance--couldn't quiet figure it out. He's definitely an "emerging leader" in a truly "emergent" church. He wanted me to pray over them. I wanted him to pray over us.
